BETTER THAN STORE-BOUGHT
The first time I made homemade brown sugar I was in the middle of making cookies and realized I didn’t have any on hand. Rather than jump in the car and run to the store, I googled how to make it. Luckily, I had all I needed on hand. It was pretty easy. Since then I’ve continued making my own.
Homemade brown sugar doesn’t clump and harden like store bought sugars can. This recipe makes a light brown sugar. If your recipe calls for dark, add more molasses.
Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar
1 Tbl molasses
Method
- Put sugar in food processor.
- Turn on the lowest setting.
- As food processor is running, slowly add molasses until fully combined.
