There is so much in bud and flower this week.
The red bud tree is native to North America and it has beautiful pink flowers this time of year. Wikipedia says the flowers can be eaten fresh or fried, but it’s not something I have tried. 
Once I decide what to plant and where, I sketch the three vegetable beds on graph paper and indicate where each seedling is to be planted. Then I label one popsicle stick for each seedling to be planted. I take the map and the labeled sticks outside, and use the sticks as placeholders for the seedlings, to be planted later.
